Misunderstood Concepts of Classical Ballet, Episode 1, shows the five positions of sur-le-coup-de-pied with commentary by Brooksher Ballet Artistic Director Natasha Brooksher and demonstration by Class 5 student, Molly Woodward.
Having danced for some of the most famous choreographers in the world, and worked alongside some of the hottest new choreographic artists today, Joshua and Natasha Brooksher are both well versed in not only the classical aesthetic, but also today’s contemporary styles of movement as well.
The Brookshers have produced award winning full length, one act, small group and solo pieces for performance and competition. Their contemporary competition solos have been recognized in the Top 12 at Youth America Grand Prix, and most recently a Third Place Award for Contemporary in the Junior Division at YAGP 2017. Their one act pieces include “Vertiee Tressee”, “Swing” and “Western Revelries”, all of which have received rave reviews and standing ovations.
